THK RHYTHM AUTOMOTIVE CZECH, a.s.
is a subsidiary of THK Co., Ltd. based in Tokyo. THK was founded in 1972 and became the first company in the world to launch a linear motion system through rolling contact, the so-called linear guide.
The Dačice plant is part of the Automotive Business Division and manufactures various types of internal and external ball joints, hollow pins, tie rods and axle control arms for cars and trucks.
The Dačice plant has almost 750 employees, ranking it among the most important employers in the Jindřichův Hradec region. The Dačice plant includes the TSCD (Technical and Development Centre), which was opened in May 2006. Currently, 38 employees work here, mainly in engineering positions (designers, test engineers). The TSCD deals with the development and testing of chassis components.

1961 – Construction of a refrigeration plant by OZAP Praha begins.
1965 – SVA Prague takes over the plant. After completion, production of parts for cars, trucks and tractors begins.
1973 – The plant is taken over by Praga.
1975 – Establishment of an independent design department, development of a new rack and pinion steering system for Škoda 105 and 120 passenger cars, later Favorit.
1986 – The plant becomes part of the Avia Group.
1993 – Establishment of TRW-DAS a.s. (92% of TRW Deutschland GmbH, in 2005 TRW 100% owner).
2006 – TSCD development centre opens.
2011 – Construction of the new production hall of the Controls plant.
2012 – Opening of the new production hall.
2015 – In February, the Valves plant is sold to Federal – Mogul. In June, the foundation stone was tapped for the construction of the new production hall. In September, TRW-DAS a.s. becomes THK RHYTHM AUTOMOTIVE CZECH, a.s. On 4 December, the new production hall is opened.
2016 – In September, the completion of the new production hall is started.
In December, the new production hall was inaugurated.
